Kristen....I do agree that the peer pressure to have sex is a real issue with kids. It breaks my heart to see these children with pregnant bellies. Abstinence is the only way to completely avoid child/teen pregancy. But as you point out...if they are going to do it, at least they have a birth control option. Sigh....

Anonymous #2...It would seem that way. But the kiddie condom was supposedly designed after studies indicated that tweens were engaging in unprotectedsex. Bottom line...someone saw a way to make some money.

WOW!!! This is really interesting. I am on the fence about it. One one hand I think it's smart because kids are gonna keep doing what they want to whether they should or not! And if they ARE going to do it than it is better to be safe than sorry with an STD or a baby at the age of 12!!! But on the other hand, I do think it can also give them the green light to just be irresponsible and wild. I think sex is so much more recreation now to younger people than it is "sacred." They don't know what that means. They just want to do it because that's what their friends are doing and they think it's cool!! It's kind of like the parents who let their kid drink/drug with their friends at home because they figure if they're going to do it they would rather them do it in the safety of their home!! (which I think is crazy too but...)Same concept, if they're going to do it be safe! This is a tough one Gaetane, but very interesting.
